Colonialism Reparation asks that the United States of America establish as soon as possible a Commission to study and develop reparation proposals for African Americans and invites all the state and local administrations to take action in the same direction.

The path to local level reparations continues with victories and defeats in Evanston, Chicago, Providence, Burlington, Kalamazoo County, Carrboro, Wilmington, Amherst, San Francisco, New York, Saint Paul, Los Angeles, Durham, Detroit, Greenbelt, High Point, Asheville, Saint Louis.

Also the path to state level reparations continues with victories and defeats in California, where the Task Force to study and develop reparation proposals for African Americans presented the preliminary report, in Illinois, where the African descent-citizens reparations Commission is being appointed, and in New Jersey, Maryland, Oregon, New York e Michigan, where the legislative process for the establishment of Task Force, Commissions or Funds for reparations is still underway.

At the federal level on the other hand, despite June 17, 2021 Juneteenth was officially declared a federal holiday after more than one hundred and fifty years of informal celebrations, there has been no progress in passing bill 40 to establish a Commission to study and develop reparation proposals for African Americans, even if there were the numbers for a vote in favour. So between June and July 2022, in view of the end of the legislature, both senator Cory Booker and congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee asked United States President Joe Biden to create the Commission by executive order.
