At the African Union level the path to reparations continued from 10 to 13 July 2025 with the Seventh Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union during which the Executive Council of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union decided to extend the focus on reparations for a decade, covering the period from 2026 to 2036. On July 24, 2025 the Pan-African Parliament reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the theme of the year 2025 “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent through Reparations”. From 29 to 30 July 2025 the Thirteenth High Level Dialogue took place on the theme Justice, Rights, Reparations and State Building. From 6 to 7 September 2025 the Second Africa - CARICOM Summit took place on the theme Transcontinental Partnership in Pursuit of Reparatory Justice for Africans and People of African Descent through Reparations. From 10 to 13 November 2025 the Sixth Conference on Land Policy in Africa took place on the theme Land Governance, Justice and Reparations for Africans and Descendants of People of the African Diaspora.

At Member State level it also continued on September 26, 2025 with a meeting on African remembrance, justice and reparations organised by Senegal, from 30 November to 1 December 2025 with an international conference on the crimes of colonialism in Africa organised by Algeria, from 8 to 12 December 2025 with the ninth pan-African congress organised by Togo and from 19 to 20 December 2025 with the Diaspora Summit 2025 organised by Ghana.

At the African non-governmental organisations level it began on June 17, 2025 with a virtual meeting and continued on July 8, 2025 with the presentation of a background paper, on July 9, 2025 with a march in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on August 29, 2025 with a meeting in Dakar, Senegal, on September 26, 2025 with a meeting in Douala, Cameroon, on October 21, 2025 with a conference in Accra, Ghana, from 22 to 23 October 2025 with a festival in Nairobi, Kenya, from 18 to 19 November 2025 with a conference in Accra, Ghana, on November 27, 2025 with a virtual meeting, on December 24, 2025 with a request to Réunion parliamentarians and on December 27, 2025 with the presentation of a research paper.

Colonialism Reparation welcomes that the African Union, some Member States and some African non-governmental organisations are calling for justice for Africans and people of African descent through reparations and hopes that many other African (and non-African) non-governmental organisations will also begin to do so.
