Colonialism Reparation, while welcoming the apologies of the Netherlands for their role in the history of slavery, asks that the Netherlands and the other former colonizing countries in addition to the apologies present adequate compensations in agreement with the former colonized countries and the victim communities.

On July 1, 2021, on the occasion of the celebration of Keti Koti, the Mayor of Amsterdam Femke Halsema offers apologies for the involvement of former city governments in the worldwide slave trade and slavery and the Chairman of the "Advisory Board of the Slavery Past Dialogue" Dagmar Oudshoorn presents the final report Chains of the Past, recommending that the State proceeds with condemnation, apologies and reparations.

On December 10, 2021 the Mayor of Rotterdam Ahmed Aboutaleb presents apologies for the involvement of former city governments in colonialism and slavery since the 17th century.

On February 23, 2022 the Mayor of Utrecht Shanon Dijksma presents apologies for the involvement of former city governments in colonialism and slavery.

On July 1, 2022, on the occasion of of the celebration of Keti Koti, the President of De Nederlandsche Bank Klaas Knot presents apologies for the role of the central bank and its board members in the Atlantic slave trade in the 19th century.

On November 20, 2022 the Mayor of The Hague Jan van Zanen presents apologies for the involvement of former city governments in colonialism and slavery.

On December 19, 2022 the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte […] presents apologies for the past actions of the Dutch State: to enslaved people in the past, everywhere in the world, who suffered as a consequence of those actions, as well as to their daughters and sons, and to all their descendants, up to the present day [...].

In relation to this the President of the "National Foundation for the Monument to the History of Slavery of the Netherlands" Barryl A. Biekman and the President of the "Suriname National Repair Commission" Armand Zunder request that the Netherlands in addition to apologies presents adequate compensations in agreement with the former colonized countries, as well as the President of the "CARICOM Reparations Commission" Hilary Beckles and the President of the "Guyana National Reparations Committee" Eric Phillips request that the Netherlands, in agreement with the former colonized countries and the victim communities, in addition to apologies presents reparations.
