Colonialism Reparation asks that the demands of justice and compensation presented by the victims of the cholera epidemic in Haiti are met by the UN and become part of the program of the next Haitian government.

On August 18, 2016 is disclosed by the press the Report on the responsibility of the United Nations in relation to cholera in Haiti of the Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights of the United Nations (UN) Philip Alston, then officially published on August 26, 2016, which claims that "the United Nations clearly was responsible and it must now act accordingly" and will be discussed during the 71st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

On the same day the Court of Appeals in New York (Decision 15-455-cv) confirms however the immunity of the United Nations regarding any complaints rejecting the appeal of the Bureau des Avocats Internationaux (BAI), the Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti (IJDH) and law firm KKWT asking the UN for individual reparations, public apologies, medical treatment of current and future victims and the construction of health infrastructure and water purification.

On August 19, 2016 the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is forced to recognize that "the United Nations has a moral responsibility to the victims of the cholera epidemic and for supporting Haiti in overcoming the epidemic and building sound water, sanitation and health systems"
