On 29 November 2012 the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the resolution 67/19 which reaffirmed the right to self-determination and the right to an independent State for the Palestinian people, accorded to Palestine non-member observer State status in the United Nations and expressed the hope that the Security Council would favorably consider the application for admission to full membership in the United Nations. There were 138 votes in favor, 41 abstentions and 9 against (Israel, United States, Canada, Czech Republic, Panama, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Palau and Nauru).

The symbolic victory of Palestine becomes evident, even though on October 31, 2011 the General Conference already admitted Palestine as member of UNESCO, and the international isolation of Israel also becomes more and more evident and it will certainly keep on growing should Israel pursue a policy that repeats Holocaust practices to the detriment of others.

The current situation is clearly the result of colonial mentality, which gradually arised with the Balfour Declaration of 1917, during the British Mandate of Palestine from 1920 to 1948, with the Partition Plan for Palestine in 1947 and with the support of the United States starting from the Suez crisis of 1956.

Colonialism Reparation calls then on Israel to recognize the mistakes made toward the Palestinian people, to reconcile with its own history of victim and executioner at the same time, to return the occupied territories to Palestine and to pay reparations for decades of violence and repression as the basis for the creation of a unitary state.
